Today, I’m taking a moment to honour the incredible people in our community who show determination, resilience, and courage every single day.

At Regional Independence Services, I see firsthand how powerful true inclusion can be, when every person, regardless of ability, is supported to participate, to belong, and to shine in their own way.

This day is a reminder for all of us to:

Celebrate the strengths and achievements of people with disability

Champion accessibility in our homes, workplaces, and community spaces

Listen, learn, and uplift the voices of people with disability

Continue building a world where independence is supported and dignity is protected

For me, this is more than a day on the calendar, it’s a reflection of why I do what I do. Inclusion changes lives. Community lifts people up. And together, we can keep raising the bar for accessibility and inclusion in our community.
