Under Pressure Therapy Brendon can provide many Remedial Massage techniques (specifically Sport and DTM) at his clinic in Karrinyup.

He has treated athletes from teams such as the Dockers, Perth Glory, Brisbane Heat, Sydney Thunder and local cycling teams After qualifying as a Remedial Massage Therapist in 2016, Brendon has worked with sporting teams including Fremantle Dockers (AFL & AFLW), Perth Glory W-League and WBBL teams Brisbane Heat & Sydney Thunder. As a former elite level cyclist, Brendon has a keen interest in Sports

Massage and treating sport related injuries, helping people recover and also allowing them to maintain their high level of competition. He has a keen eye for athletic bodies and how sport can affect their muscles. Brendon's massage treatments have a focus on restoring optimal function, and reducing problems/dysfunction from sport related injuries or traumas as well as everyday postural issues. He has a special interest in treating the legs, back, hip, pelvis and shoulder conditions.

It was incredible having the Australian National Road Championships in Perth. What a show P-Town put on with the scenes and the crowds!

I was lucky to work with some of the elite riders and help out a few traveling teams. Supporting , (the comeback we all wanted), , and with massage and support was super rewarding.

It wasn’t stressful at all feeding for Jai πŸ€₯, but at least I had good company with in the feed zone

Patricia grew up in Berlin (Germany) and enjoys being amongst the outdoors, practicing yoga or having a little boogie πŸ’ƒπŸ½.

Patricia has completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy through North Metropolitan TAFE. Patricia offers a variety of treatment modalities and techniques for soft tissue manual therapy, including myofascial release, sports massage, trigger point therapy, functional cupping, deep tissue massage, joint mobilisation and sports taping.

Patricia has experience providing treatments for a variety of athletes including Perth Glory women's team, WAIS WA synchronised swim team, running events and cycling events.

In her spare time you will most likely find Patricia dancing to her favorite music, soaking up the sun at the beach, or showing off her multilingual skills (fluent in 4 languages)

Too many people are giving 'quick tips' for things that don't realistically resolve 'quickly'

Like anything, small changes done consecutively over time will result in bigger changes than chasing the silver bullets and snake oils

Grip matters ✊🏼

Overhand grip is the most widely used grip. Palms facing the body and thumb around the bar, falling just over the fingers. Keep the wrists neutral when pulling, or slight extension for push exercises

Hook grip is best used for Olympic lifting (clean and jerk and the sn**ch) when you need to limit the amount the bar rolls in your hand. It is also a good alternative to using straps if your grip strength is limiting the amount you can lift. Thumb tape can help slightly ease the pain on the thumb

Suicide/false grip is good for a quick lift with light weights where position set up isn't essential. It is good for pulling exercises and a staple for gymnasts. It is suited to overhead press, but might be too risky for bench press
