Tilly has been found!☺️
Tilly slipped his harness on his way to the clinic back in January. On Wednesday, we were delighted to discover the beautiful boy Tilly had been brought into our clinic, where we scanned him for a microchip and were able to reunite him with his owner Heather.

This is a great reminder of the importance in microchipping your cats & dogs, to ensure they can be correctly identified and returned to their loved ones!

Thank you to Sandy and her girls for helping reunite Tilly with his owner and finally getting him back home safe💗

Hi town of Katanning, Tilly is a large grey desexed male cat that slipped his harness on the way into the clinic. His owner is from Wagin so Tilly is not familiar with town. Please keep an eye out for him. He is microchipped with up to date details.

🥵 We are all feeling this HEAT 🥵

Let's not forget about our fur babies!

Have you heard of the 5 second rule?

Walking your dog at the hottest time of day has the potential for serious burns.

The 5 second rule is helpful in determining whether the ground is way to hot for dogs to walk on. You can test it by placing the back of your hand (or your bare foot) on the pavement, road, or sand and if you can’t hold for 5 seconds, then forget it.

*Paw pad burns should be assessed by a veterinarian. They’re very painful, and may become infected.*

Symptoms can include:
🐾 limping
🐾 refusing to walk
🐾 paw pads are darker than usual
🐾 visible blisters or redness.
🐾 licking and chewing at burned paws in hopes of finding some relief
