Leading Light Collective: Tarot, Reiki, Breathwork & Counselling

Leading Light Collective: Tarot, Reiki, Breathwork & Counselling Breathwork, Tarot Reading, Reiki and Counselling. For my breathwork retreat go to https://adifferent Before I knew it I was reading at cafes and markets.

I was introduced to the tarot at age 19 when a friend gave me a deck. The moment I looked over them I realised there was something much deeper than the surface images. While reading for friends I quickly discovered I had something of a gift for it. After an agent recognised my talent at reading I expanded into the festival circuit and other avenues, both in Australia and Europe. Having studied transpersonal psychology, youth work counseling, and currently studying social work, I’ve become particularly interested in empowering women. My personal journey has involved transitioning and letting go of old dynamics within relationships and the vocational aspect to my life. In taking control of my life and growing more real and authentic, the external areas of my life have transformed to match the inner. Beyond delivering insights from the deck, I am able to draw on my knowledge and personal experience to help you overcome fears, heal wounds and change thought patterns in order that all of your significant relationships begin to flourish, especially the one you have with yourself. How deep we go and how transformative the experience will be depends entirely on your openness and willingness to move forward in your life. As Theresa Francis-Cheung pointed out:

“The cards give you images and symbols to focus your vague intentions and transform them into action. Your will is the magic. In other words, you are the magic.”

I WISH YOU ENOUGH!

Recently, I overheard a Mother and Daughter in their last moments together at the airport as the Daughter's departure had been announced.

Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the Mother said:
"I love you and I wish you enough."

The Daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom."
They kissed and the Daughter left.

The Mother walked over to the window where I sat. Standing there, I could see she wanted and needed to cry.

I tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say Good-Bye to someone knowing it would be forever?" "Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking but why is this a forever Good-Bye?"
"I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is the next trip back will be for my funeral," she said.

When you were saying Good-Bye, I heard you say, "I wish you enough." May I ask what that means?"

She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations.
My parents used to say it to everyone."

She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled even more.

"When we said 'I wish you enough' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them".

Then turning toward me, she shared the following, reciting it from memory,
"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye."

She then began to cry and walked away.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person. An hour to appreciate them. A day to love them. And an entire life to forget them.

At some point, healing asks you to face a painful truth: your parents may not have had the emotional capacity to love you the way you needed. And it’s not because you were unworthy but because they were limited.

We all know accepting this doesn’t erase the pain, but it frees you from spending your life waiting for closure from people who don’t know how to give it.

Forgive them so you can stop carrying what was never yours to hold.

Then turn inward and forgive yourself.
Forgive yourself for searching for love in places that only mirrored your wounds. For staying, overgiving, shrinking or settling just to feel chosen. You weren’t broken, you were unmet. And an unmet child becomes an adult who confuses longing with love until awareness arrives.

Healing has levels.
- Acceptance is one.
- Forgiveness is another.
- Discernment is the next.

You learn that understanding someone doesn’t mean tolerating everything. Compassion doesn’t require self-abandonment. Sometimes healing is grieving what you didn’t receive, releasing the need to be rescued and finally becoming the one who shows up for you consistently, honestly and without conditions.

As we move through this new year, make this your quiet commitment:
- stop recreating old wounds in new relationships.
- Choose environments, conversations and connections that feel safe to your nervous system.

Let this be the year you respond differently, love more consciously and stop negotiating your worth for familiarity.
Healing isn’t about becoming someone new but about returning to who you were before you learned to survive.

The tarot is a mirror, reflecting what’s happening in our lives right now. It uses images and archetypes to reveal what’s hidden beneath the surface, helping us understand our present moment and gain clarity on our path forward.

By accepting our current circumstances, we can release resistance and create space for solutions to emerge. This allows us to move forward with a clearer perspective, deeper understanding, and greater appreciation for what is.

Tarot isn’t about predicting the future or magic; it’s about seeing things as they truly are. When we accept our present, we can create a better future.

With each year I become more grounded,
As my soul becomes more free,
I've grown roots that keep me stable,
I'm finally enjoying being me.

Life is now rich with simplicity,
I avoid the drama that some may bring,
I'm happy in my own company,
My heart has learned how to sing.

In each new silver hair I rejoice,
Aging is a blessing, some never know,
My journey has brought me so far,
And hopefully, still, some way to go.

I cherish each precious moment,
The laughter shared, the silent peace,
In every chapter, I now stand stoic,
With wisdom my worries cease.

So here's to the years that shape and mold,
With knowledge gained and stories to tell,
I embrace the path that I have walked,
In this seasoned body, I'm happy to dwell ..
