Katoomba Diagnostic Imaging is proud to participate in the Australian National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP), a vital new government initiative designed to detect lung cancer early, before symptoms appear.

Through this program, eligible Australians aged 50 to 70 who currently smoke, or who have quit smoking within the past 15 years, can access a low-dose CT (LDCT) scan. Lung cancer screenings performed at our clinic are fully bulk billed, non-invasive, and only takes between 10-15 minutes.

If you think you might be eligible, talk to your GP about a referral for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program, because early detection saves lives.

💗 Regular breast self-exams, clinical examinations, and breast imaging are key to the early detection of breast cancer.

Everyday moments like showering, getting dressed or applying lotion are opportunities to check how your breasts normally look and feel. Remember to include your whole breast area, armpits and up to your collarbone.

If you notice a new lump, thickening, or any change in shape, size, skin or ni**le appearance, see your GP without delay.

💗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At Alpenglow Australia, we are committed to supporting patients, families, and communities impacted by breast cancer.

Our teams provide breast imaging services across many of our clinics, assisting with early detection, diagnosis, and ongoing care. This cause is close to our hearts, and throughout the month we’ll be decorating clinics, and joining ‘Wear It Pink Day’ to raise awareness and funds.
