June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month 🍎

Bowel Cancer is Australia’s fourth most common type of cancer, with one in 13 Australians developing bowel cancer in their lifetime. It is also Australia’s second deadliest cancer as symptoms are not usually present in its early stages.

There is hope however, over 90% of bowel cancers can be successfully treated when diagnosed early. Regular screening and early detection are crucial for the treatment and management of bowel cancer, this month we encourage all Australians to have a conversation with their GP about bowel cancer screening.
