Hi everyone.

I just wanted to confirm that TerryWhite Chemmart - Keilor Village is administering ALL types of Covid vaccines including Boosters & Kids.

However, due to delivery delays we cannot take new bookings until Monday 24th January. The booking system will now allow bookings for adults from that date. We will re-open children’s bookings once we work through the appointments that had to be postponed.

e-Scripts now available to process at TerryWhite Chemmart - Keilor Village

eScripts are electronic prescriptions enabling convenient access to your scripts from your mobile phone or email. An eScript is electronically generated by your GP and sent directly to your mobile phone via sms or email. It can be used in the same way as a paper prescription to obtain medicine from your pharmacy. And as eScripts are touch-free, the risk of infection being spread is reduced. The technology required to facilitate eScripts is available NOW at TerryWhite Chemmart - Keilor Village

How do eScripts work?

1. Visit your doctor for a prescription as normal or via telehealth. Choose paper or electronic (eScript) prescription from your GP.

2. For eScripts, you will receive a unique QR barcode known as a ‘token’ sent as an electronic message to your mobile phone or email. Separate tokens will be issued for multiple prescriptions

3. Token will be sent to you as an SMS, email or app notification

4. Token gets scanned by your pharmacist at TerryWhite Chemmart to unlock the eScript for filling. Your details are kept completely confidential and safe.

Note: Once your eScript is filled, your token is no longer valid. If you have any repeats of a prescription, a new token will be sent to you when the prescription is dispensed. Keep the token to get the repeat filled next time you’re in the pharmacy.

At TerryWhite Chemmart - Keilor Village, we are committed to ensuring you have access to our pharmacists and our team to provide the best of care and support with medicines in any way we can.

Your health and safety and that of our staff is our number one priority. I want to reassure you that we are working closely with the appropriate authorities to keep you and our team safe and informed.

How are we supporting you?

As an essential service, TerryWhite Chemmart - Keilor Village will remain OPEN during the state-wide shutdown of non-essential businesses and services ordered by the Victorian Government.

Increased Hygiene Measures: We have stepped up hygiene measures with hand sanitiser stations and new guidelines in store to help protect one another.

• Home Delivery Services:
Staying at home is the best way to achieve social distancing during the peak of the virus outbreak. We currently provide a daily delivery service within 10kms of our store on weekdays.

The best way for you to pre-order your scripts and avoid waiting time in store is to leave your scripts on file with us.
Give us a call on 9336-7395 before 2pm on weekdays when you need a prescription filled and we will deliver your medicine the same day if stock is available.

• Flu Vaccinations: One of the best ways we can all help is to get a flu vaccination to help alleviate pressure on the health system and to reduce our risk of influenza as we also move into the flu season. No appointment necessary.
If you are unable to attend our store for your vaccination we are able to attend your home via appointment. Fees may apply for a home visit.

Recently the government announced that pharmacists are to limit the dispensing of prescription medicine to a one-month supply along with the sales of certain over-the-counter products. This has been in response to panic buying of medicines. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we implement these necessary changes so we may continue to meet the needs of all our customers.

What is Whooping Cough?

Whooping cough, or pertussis, is an airborne respiratory infection that can bring with it symptoms similar to the common cold. It can affect people of all ages, although it is particularly serious in young children and babies, often life-threatening in babies less than 6 months of age. It is highly contagious and is spread by coughing and sneezing. The disease is named ‘Whooping Cough’ because the cold-like symptoms are followed by a long period of coughing fits, usually several weeks, in which a person may make a high-pitched ‘whoop’ when inhaling after coughing.
