When a child is overwhelmed, their behaviour is not a choice. It is their nervous system calling for safety.
Trauma-informed care helps us shift the question from โWhat is wrong?โ to โWhat has this child experienced, and what do they need to feel safe with me right now?โ
This change in perspective creates calmer environments, deeper connection and genuine pathways for development.
On Friday 13 February 2026, Kate Broderick will guide us through practical, compassionate trauma-informed approaches that support childrenโs wellbeing, communication and behaviour across home, school and therapeutic settings.
If you support children in any capacity and want a clearer, kinder, more grounded way of understanding their behaviour, you will feel at home in this session.
