As part of Indigenous Business Month, Australian Unity recently held a Capability Uplift and Networking event at Quarter for Aboriginal and Torres Strait business leaders in Brisbane.
Now in its eighth year, Indigenous Business Month seeks to inspire the next generation of First Nations business leaders.
“As part of our ongoing Reconciliation Action Plan, our Capability Uplift events aim to share business best practice and strategies with Aboriginal and Torres Strait businesses,” said Oxford, GM of Indigenous Business and Community at Australian Unity.
“Big and small, we provide this insight regardless of their connection or affiliation to Australian Unity,” Trish added.
“The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with appreciation for the event and the opportunity for attendees to showcase their businesses.”
From understanding contract clauses like force majeure and ‘1 in 100 year flood’ insurance, to employee value propositions and S curve development plans—combined with the endless networking and business development conversations—there was endless tangible and topical information shared.
A special thanks our hosts Quarter and speakers Chris Mattes, Kerry Armstrong , Graham Murphy and Naomi Fox—together you made the event a wonderful experience for all.
