Improving Health Outcomes for People Improving Health Outcomes for People is a cancer research group We have a special interest in skin cancer, breast cancer and lymphoedema.

We have a distinct research focus on improving health outcomes for people

The Improving Health Outcomes for People research group aims to provide quality research and education in the multi-faceted areas of Public Health to the community both in Australia and internationally. Our research projects focus on cancer prevention, early detection and the physical and psychosocial recovery process following cancer treatment. Physical activity forms a large component of our work, conducting randomised controlled trials in women with young children, in rural populations and among women undergoing treatment for breast and gynaecological cancer.

We have a new Exercise and Cancer Special Interest Group on Facebook! πŸŽ‰

The ihop Exercise and Cancer Special Interest Group is open to all allied health professionals, working in clinical practice or research, to share and collaborate on all things related to exercise and cancer.

Our intent for bringing this group together is to a provide a forum where all allied health professionals can share clinical queries, resources, training, job opportunities and anything else that may end up helping all of us to improve the lives of those with cancer.

Professor Sandi Hayes is a Senior Research Fellow within Menzies Health Institute Queensland, Griffith University. She uses her expertise in exercise oncology science and epidemiology to improve cancer survivorship.

This meet Carolina!

Carolina Sandler is an , Lecturer at Western Sydney University and an adjunct clinical researcher within the ihop research group.

Carolina currently holds a NSW Cancer Institute Early Career Fellowship.
Her program of research focuses on the role of in survivorship and interventions for states.

Carolina is an active member of the ihop research group where she collaborates on several cancer survivorship studies including in women with ovarian cancer, lymphedema, advanced breast cancer and brain cancer.
