Today is Trans Day of Remembrance, to acknowledge the lives lost to anti-trans violence.

We are so lucky to have trans people in our lives, and we are all responsible in making inclusive spaces🏳️‍⚧️❤️

Things you can do
❤️ Search up the history of trans people in society
❤️ Research protests, marches and events
❤️ Wear trans flag colours or share your support online
❤️ Create your own inclusive space or social outing
❤️ Find groups in your area that are trans and gender diverse friendly spaces

Happy Trans Awareness Week!

To celebrate our young people, having the freedom to be who you are and hear what young people want in Kempsey we are creating a time capsule on Monday November 17!

We will be decorating this capsule, creating notes for future self and headspace Kempsey, putting in memories or things we find important right now as well as listening to music and eating snacks🤩🏳️‍⚧️

It's hard to tell when someone you love is struggling.

Here are some signs that they might not be feeling good. Sometimes people don't show that they are feeling down so it's always good to check in with a 'How ya going?" or "You doing alright?".

Gender is a part of our identity, how we see ourselves and how we feel in our body.

Although it is very important to who we are, it's okay to not have it figured out yet.
Sometimes it can take a while to understand who we are and sometimes labels just don't fit.

If you're not sure but want to talk about it you can come to the LGBTQIA+ group on the first Wednesday of every month 4-5pm or come into headspace and talk to one of our clinicians!

Nov 13-19 is Trans Awareness Week, no matter who you are you are safe with us🫶🏳️‍⚧️
