Full restore on this Z series Hytest Forester 3.5lb. Enamel Repaint and original design vinyl stickers and hung on Hickory with a Blue Gum cross wedge to bring it back to brand new for a collector. Good for in the rack or ready to rock for a new life.

Received this Dunlap Western pattern double bit from a mate in Wyoming. Hand made Red Mahogany handle at 34” with a scorched palm swell and the wedge supplied by another mate in Canada. It’s Zebra wood, Wenge and plastic laminate.

Kelly Flint Edge, 3.5lb Swamping pattern all the way from southern USA. Burnt Birch handle with Spalted Maple wedge. Head reprofiled and blued. The blackness!

Full restoration for a customer in the USA. The Hults Bruk 4.5lb is permabonded. And as sometimes happens the bond deteriorated and was falling apart. Keep the original handle in there, fixing the overstrike damage. Repainted to original European black head and red grip. Refill the bond. Shaving sharp.

Vintage Kelly Dandenong 2kg. Obviously used and abused it's whole life. Hung upside down, covered in concrete and I don't think was ever sharpened properly.
Still coming in well over 2kg, fully restored it was supposed to be a user but it's now retired.
Hand shaped Sotted Gum handle with Blue Gum wedge.

Get your old axes and edged tools in for the full treatment or just a sharpen.

Gift from an old Saw Doctor mate. 6lb Dogs head hammer. Made in 1954 by Sheffield saw smiths. Cleaned and half polished on the hickory handle in came to me on. Blue Gum wedge.
Face cracked when his apprentice missed and struck the anvil 🤦‍♂️😂
Looking forward to hanging this one up.

A mate in Texas sent this fella down to me. Collins Legitimus Kentucky pattern. 4.5lbs on a 32” vintage handle. Not sure what the wood is. Love to hear what you think it might be. I know it’s American but that’s about it. Osange Orange wedge.

Swap meet find. Cyclone Dandenong 2kg.
What’s left of original paint. Hung on an old Spotted Gum Kruger’s Superslash handle. 32”.
Jarrah wedges, needed a cross for the large eye and relatively small handle.
These were made after Kelly became True Temper and Cyclone Aus bought the rights to the Dandenong brand.
Had a gnarly chip in the blade when I got it. Reprofiled the bit.

Just finished up this fella for sale.
Considered to be one of the best tool makers since 1697. This vintage Hults Bruk Agdor- Tasmanian pattern is still on the original permabond Ash handle. Made some time between 1958 and 1988. Marked at 2kg or 4 1/2lbs, it's still VERY over weight even after I've sharpened and pit'n'polished the head. Sharp and ready to either use or hang on the rack.

Finally found these photos after loosing the hard drive 😂
Greg's R. Sorby hewing axe. Edge was demolished from a "Friend" using it to split firewood over a concrete slab 🙈
As it's a folded steel the edge laminate had literally started to separate. So needed to reforge, straighten and re-temper the working edge.
Hang job was also nightmare, silicon does not make for good wood glue lol.

3lb True Temper Kelly Perfect from Canada, on a Flooded Gum handle made by me. Not the best wood for an axe handle but love the colour for a wall hanger, Radiata pine wedge.

Post hang and BLO soak on a Hytest Craftsman 4 1/2 lb. 60yo with original paint remaining. Spotted gum handle with hickory wedge.
