Hello Ipswich!
We are looking for more volunteers to help with our workshops in Bundamba - do you have a few hours in the day to spare and are looking to do something useful and hands on?
Send us a message or come by during our workshop hours to learn more about volunteering with Ewaste Connection.

At EWC, a volunteer is someone who gives their time to help supervise and assist the participants and staff in our workshops.
A volunteer will also enjoy social interaction or assist with sorting / testing / refurbishing donated items.

No previous experience is required to volunteer at EWC - you just need to have a positive attitude and be ready to help our participants recycle ewaste while having fun.

Christmas Holiday Closures

Ewaste Connection will close after the workshop session on Saturday 13 December for the Christmas holiday and reopen again on Monday 12 January, 2026.

Part time position available
We are looking for a part time person to support EWC in an operations and logistics assistant role.

If you are friendly, organised, have some computer skills, motivated to help people, fun and flexible, not afraid to get your hands a bit dirty and have a drivers licence/car, then you may be the one.
The position would require about 20 hours per week (46 weeks per year).

September / October Holiday Closures
(& Public Holiday announcement)

eWaste Connection will remain open for the first week of school holidays.

We will be closed for the second week from Saturday 27 September through to Saturday 04 October.

We will also be closed for the King's Birthday public holiday on Monday 06 October.

The workshops will re-open again on Tuesday 07 October.

Our Kenmore and Yeronga sites will be CLOSED on Wed 13 August for the Ekka show public holiday 2025.

Our Bundamba site will remain OPEN on Wed 13 August - 9am to 4:30pm.

KENMORE WILL BE CLOSED ON TUES 22 JULY & WED 23 JULY.

As a final part of the redevelopment at our Kenmore location, Brisbane City Council need to pour some concrete in our area.

This requires them to have clear access to our precinct for 2 full days.

To facilitate this work, we need to close our KENMORE workshop next week on Tuesday 22 July and Wednesday 23 July.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause to your routines.

If you would like to attend our Yeronga (Tues morning 9-12 or Wed afternoon 1-5) or North Booval workshop (9-12 Tues or Wed) for next week, please let us know.

Can You Believe It !!

For the month of June, Ewaste Connection has recycled over 40,000kgs of waste (e-waste and repurposed plastics) diverting it away from landfill.

Massive effort team, well done everyone!
