Big update for families and little learners 💬✨

The Australian Government has expanded the M10 Medicare referral pathway, now including speech disorders — opening the door for more children to access early support when it matters most.

🧠💡 Why this matters:
Early intervention is key during the critical years of development. Difficulties with speech can impact communication, learning, confidence, and social connection — but with the right support, children can thrive.

👶 What’s new:
Families can now access Medicare-rebates speech pathology for children with speech disorders (including stuttering and cleft palate) not just broader developmental concerns.

💬 What this means for you:
✔️ Easier access to speech pathology services
✔️ Support earlier, when it has the biggest impact
✔️ Less financial pressure for families
✔️ Better outcomes for children’s communication and learning

👩‍⚕️ How to get started:
1. Visit your GP or paediatrician
2. Ask about an M10 (formerly Helping Children with Autism) referral
3. Get connected with a qualified speech pathologist

🌱 Every child deserves the chance to be heard, understood, and confident in their communication.

If you’ve been concerned about your child’s speech, this update could make accessing support easier than ever.

Music Therapy Week 🎶💙

At Amaze, we’re proud to be the only local clinic offering music therapy as part of our multidisciplinary team. This means your child can access a truly holistic approach to care—where music becomes a powerful tool for growth, connection, and expression. We have seen the power of that and will offer music therapy for as long as we can!

Music therapy isn’t just about making music—it supports communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence in a way that feels natural and fun for kids. Through rhythm, melody, and play, children can build skills that carry over into everyday life.

Because sometimes, the best way to be heard… isn’t with words 🎵

Different brains. Different ways of being. 💛

This World Autism Awareness Day, we’re choosing to go beyond “awareness” — and lean into acceptance, respect, and celebration.

At our clinic, we support communication in all its forms, honour sensory needs, and follow each child’s lead and strengths as they grow into who they already are.

Neurodiversity makes the world richer. And our job? To create spaces where kids feel safe to be exactly themselves.

Because every child deserves to be understood.

Some good news today for those that have been in the clinic over the last week and seen that our friend Sonic was needing a bit of TLC. 🐟 After a week of special attention, Sonic is back to himself, looking and feeling like a new fish (we promise he’s not!). He’s so excited and protective of his food now that he’s feeling better, that he likes to swim around playing with the last piece until he’s ready to eat it. He’s reminding us of a seal playing with his ball 🦭

Rocking our odd socks today for World Down Syndrome Day 💙💛

Why? Because chromosomes look like little socks, and wearing mismatched ones is a fun way to celebrate differences and stand for inclusion, acceptance, and love.

Different is beautiful. 🧦✨

It’s Neurodiversity Awareness Week 💛

At Amaze, we celebrate the many ways children think, learn, and experience the world. Neurodiversity is a reminder that every brain is different — and those differences bring unique strengths.

We’re proud to support children and families in ways that honour who they are. 🌈

Ask your therapist or one of our friendly admin girls about claiming on-site. It takes a little extra time on your first visit but is then super quick and convenient.
