When we challenge and go against what our eating disorder voice is saying, this can feel so hard. Often the voice might become louder when we try to go against it but ultimately that's a sign you're doing something right 💚💙

This World Health Day, we’re reminding everyone that weight is not an indicator of health – despite what diet culture tries to tell us. 🤔

Health is complex and influenced by many different factors, and health can exist on a spectrum of body sizes, which will vary with time and circumstance for every individual. 💭

There’s also no single measure of health – what matters most is the bigger picture. Are we getting enough sleep? Engaging in movement that brings joy? And how is our mental health going? 🗣️

Remember, our bodies are meant to be unique. Even if we all ate and exercised the same, we’d still look completely different. 💙

Eating disorder recovery is not linear. 🦋

And hard days don’t erase your progress – they're a natural part of healing. 🌱

For people living with an eating disorder, it can be common to experience black and white thinking, or an ‘all or nothing’ mindset, especially during the recovery journey. But there’s no such thing as a ‘perfect’ recovery. 💭

Hold compassion for yourself, and please know that Butterfly is here to help. 💙
