In Warwick, students from the local primary school choir recently performed for our aged care residents. 🗣️🎶

Students chatted, shared morning tea and brought hand-made gifts for residents, including ornaments and cards. This is a great example of an intergenerational connection between locals and a wonderful way for residents to stay connected to their communities.

Our Toowoomba Aged Care volunteers recently came together to celebrate their annual Christmas lunch. 🌟

Volunteers are the heart of our services, contributing in many meaningful ways, from lifestyle activities and pastoral care to transport support and serving as our coffee gurus. Their dedication and generosity make a real difference in the lives of those we care for, and we are grateful for everything they do.

Volunteers at Warrawee Aged Care in St George recently donated their time to create wreaths for each of the residents to choose from and put up in their rooms. 🎄🌟

Over the Christmas period, community volunteers are assisting with various activities including carolling, bon-bon making and coming along for the annual Christmas light drive to ensure residents feel connected and celebrated this festive season.

Faye, mother of our Lifestyle Assistant Sam, recently handcrafted and generously donated 15 personal quilts for residents at Warrawee Aged Care. With great attention to detail, Faye spent months making all quilts to brighten residents' rooms. ☀️🪡

With plans to make 20+ quilts, Warrawee Aged Care and Churches of Christ are grateful for Faye's generous time and donation to our services. We look forward to seeing what you create next, Faye!

Fairhaven Maryborough recently hosted a special swing and sing mocktail bar for their residents! 🌴🧉

Many residents dressed for the occasion, with lovely golden outfits and the staff also were wearing black and gold. Residents were served mocktails of their choice and this included Pina Colada, Sangria, and Chocolate Velvet. Residents were served chocolate dipped strawberries, caramel and chocolate mud cake with fresh raspberries and freshly prepared canapes alongside lucky draws.

This was a lovely time for residents to reminisce about cherished memories, create new memories, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere together. 💛

Retirement Living residents at Lady Small Haven hosted a beautiful festive Christmas Market. 🎄

This was the perfect opportunity for some early holiday shopping and among us was one of our residents, who has been passionately fundraising for The Smiths Family's "Learning for Life" program for many years at markets. On offer were delicious home made treats and crafts.

It was a wonderful time to build community connections and get into the festive spirit! 🌟🎅

Elvira turns 102!💐

We are celebrating an incredible milestone as one of our tenant is turning 102 years! What an amazing life and legacy. Elivra has done it all - from her early years in Germany then Latvia to building a new life in Australia where she worked on cane fields serving workers. Elvira's journey has been filled with challenges, strength, and love.

Elvira now enjoys puzzles, walks, and time with her family which includes her nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.🥳🌟

As part of Remembrance Day, our aged care services kindly honoured those who have served our country through meaningful ceremonies, poppy tributes, and quiet moments of reflection to pay respect to our soldiers' courage and sacrifice.

In Bundaberg, the team put together a beautiful onsite service, and down in Maryborough, residents were visited by the local World War 1 re-enactment group who brought their horses. Residents interacted with the horses by feeding carrots and hay. It was a special moment for resident John (as pictured) who was a called up for National Service during the fifties and is known as a 'Nasho'.

Remembrance Day is a special time of the year for residents and staff to reflect and honour those who served.

Oak Towers Aged Care in Victoria put on quite the show as residents took part in a making a murder mystery movie!🎥

Each resident was involved or featured in the movie, highlighting their dedication, creativity and unique personalities. Families came to view the movie and was a lovely opportunity for residents to collaborate and connect with each other. Our staff who supported behind the scenes did an amazing job at bringing to light residents' creative flair and assisting with production.

What a great activity to bring residents, staff and families together! 🍿🤩
