Doula Heart Network

Doula Heart Network The DHN is a charitable offering established back in 2004 by Renee Adair of the former Australian Doula College.

Through the generosity of our team & doulas, we offer our services and goods free of charge to women and families who need them most. The Doula Heart Network (DHN), unofficially started in 2004 and became official in 2007. Founded by Renee Adair, who also has a background in women’s outreach programs, Renee has always been drawn to help women give birth. We believe that no woman should ever birth

alone, and no woman should ever be judged or receive any less care because of her race, colour, religion, age or personal situation.

Join for a wondrous masterclass all about holding space and what it really means. Many of us think we know what it means, but do we?

JUNE 20 8:00pm-9:30pm AEST on Zoom 💻📱

This session is for EVERYONE. Because in life there are constant opportunities to hold space with each other. Whether that be over a coffee, as you take a stroll with a loved one, in birth, or in death.

If you are someone who seeks to continue to build a deeper connection with those around you. This 1.5 hour masterclass is for you.

As a doula, holding space broadly means creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for others, in the many life spaces we find ourselves in.

Holding space requires a doula to be present and attentive, to listen deeply, and to respect the individual's autonomy and choices; setting aside one’s own situation, opinions and assumptions in order to serve others fully in their wishes. Doulas take care in acknowledging and accepting the range of emotions and experiences that can arise during these moments with compassion and without judgement.

Ultimately, holding space as a doula allows for a more meaningful and transformative experience for those involved.

In this masterclass, Renee will share her perspective on holding space and what it actually means. Drawing on 20 plus years of experience as a doula and educator, walking along side hundreds of individuals and families though life's major transitions.

Join us for an epic masterclass next Tuesday night at 8pm with Renee.
