READ THE POST!!!
I finally got the balls to post, motivated by the fact that I’m not running for a couple of days and needed to remind myself that all is not lost.
13 years ago I was 26kgs heavier. That's over double of what I weigh now. Not that the number is important but rather my overall health. In that time, I was also lighter than I am now. I can confirm that there is a perfect weight for all of us, that is more like a neutral point on a scale and tipping either way has disadvantages or risks.
This is me. This morning. I went to my obgyn for a small procedure for and in the waiting room on reflection, was reminded of where I came from. Losing weight with PCOS is hard. The hormone imbalance effects insulin resistance. I persisted. It took a 2-3 years to lose weight the healthiest way possible and it’s taken the last 4 years to gain control over it in between being pregnant and giving birth twice.
I’m not selling a transformation package. I’m not saying one technique fits all. I do think there are keys you need to succeed. They are:
- Consistency.
- Discipline.
- Patience.
- Kindness.
- Organisation.
- Education.
I can throw more words out there like structure, preparation, mindfulness, recovery, I could go on.
Education in NUTRITION is the biggest key here. You can train for hours and hours, every day and still not see result like you wish. If you want longevity in health and fitness, education in nutrition and every life is a must. When the change you desire is so great, it’s hard to quantify the amount of behaviours and changes that need to be made gradually.
You’ve got to want to do it. I’m not going to convince you. You don’t want optimal health, my advice and support will not work. If you do, hit me up. I work with people via video calls and constant support. ❤️
