Harvest Yoga

Harvest Yoga Harvest Yoga was established in 2003 and classes are held in a beautiful light filled studio in Kensington.

Rick comes from a background of music, teaching, performing....and working in many prestigious arts organisations - Opera Australia, Melbourne Symphony, Victorian Arts Centre, BBC, National Theatre London... We aim in our yoga classes to strike a balance between the physical body, the mind and the emotions - through movement, breath work, relaxation and meditation. Along the way we learn ways to still the mind and open the heart, leading us towards the possibility of leading a more connected, fulfilled and joyful existence.

Our Story

Rick established Harvest Yoga 17 years ago now. These days we are a small team of dedicated teachers, and we present mixed yoga classes including Beginners Courses and Somatic Movement classes and Clinical Somatics. Our classes are small and intimate. The studio is a beautiful, light-filled space that looks out over Kensington’s famous old elm trees. What sort of yoga do we teach? – a question often asked.JUST YOGA. Plain and simple. We try and make our classes accessible to all. Rick also teaches movement classes in Somatics – as well as Clinical Somatics Education sessions. All our experienced and dedicated teachers are informed and inspired by the diverse training and study each has pursued over the years, and by the integrity that many years of yoga practice, study and of teaching brings.

We are passionate about what we teach. And we teach and practice mindfully, with care, humour and warmth, and with attention to the ease of every person present.

THERE ARE MANY PATHS TO YOGA… We present yoga classes at all levels including Early Morning classes, Beginners courses and Somatics classes. Most of our classes are Open level – which means they are open to all levels of experience, including Beginners. We aim in our classes to strike a balance between the physical, the mind and the emotions – through movement, breathing enquiry, relaxation and meditation.
