ITS WORLD DOULA WEEK! ♥️

The world needs more Doulas. So to celebrate we are offering 20% off all courses if you sign up this week and start your doula journey in our up coming April cohort.

Being a doula is a calling, a passion to support others and it's a privilege to be invited to walk along side someone's journey and hold space for them and their loved ones.

I feel blessed to continue to train and mentor doulas across the country and to partner with so many wonderful organisations and individuals to make a positive difference in the lives of marginalised and diverse communities.

Happy International Women’s Day!

A day for reflection, appreciation, gratitude and a reminder that we have a long way to go before all women and girls are free from violence, inequalities in health and education, pay gaps, under representation in political and leadership roles, unpaid labour and poverty......just to name a few s**tty things that urgently need to be better addressed.

I honour all the women in my family today, the wonderful WTTF and DSS team and the trail blazers who came before me in our industry. We all stand on the shoulders of some wild and remarkable women that I am forever grateful for.

Let's all be mindful at this time of such epic madness in the world. Let's show kindness and compassion towards each other, no matter the colour of your skin, faith, culture or religion.

Now is the time we need to band together and share love.

My fur family keeps me sane, balanced and happy and I am forever grateful for their unconditional love and friendship.

Shout out to my Priscilla, Bear and Bailey and to all of the fur babies out there, that wait at home patiently for their beautiful parent/s who are out being of service to others, to come home.

What is like waiting for a loved one to die?

When we know a loved one is at the end of life, it obviously brings up some massive feelings. Some of relief, some of deep sadness or anger or confusion and sometimes it can feel like your heart is literally breaking.

Whatever arises it’s important to meet those feelings with honesty and seek support for yourself so you can process your loved ones transition as it unfolds…….because when a loved one passes not only do they transition but so do we.

We are working our way through deep profound feelings while sitting with moving forward in our life without the physical presence of our beloved person.

It’s big s**t and we need to talk about it.

Keep it real.

Sarah Irelands' latest blog post from our recent Djakamirr Training in Galiwin'ku.

The third time we have delivered the Cert II for the project.

Its NATIONAL SORRY DAY also known as the National Day of Healing, an annual event in Australia, It commemorates the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families and communities, a practice known as the Stolen Generations.

The day also marks the anniversary of the “Bringing Them Home” report, which highlighted the impacts of these removals and recommended an apology.

There are women I have met in community whose children were taken or they themselves were removed from their families.

We need to address the tragedy and trauma for all survivors of this horrific time in our history.

Happy International Women’s Day!

We are a long way off for all women across the globe to be afforded justice, equality and the freedoms many take for granted.

Today is a reminder we must never give up the good fight. Women and girls fear and face more violence, r**e, ge***al mutilation, child marriage, lack of education, are told what to wear and experience unpaid or unequal pay than men.

Today, I want to shout out to thank and honour my beloved sisterhood who I adore, who love unconditionally and we are always there for each other.

To my beautiful daughters and daughter in law, you constantly inspire me and I could not be prouder of all the beauty, fierceness and sass you bring to the world.

And to my divine granddaughters, I want you to know that nanny Nae Nae is not giving up on making the world a better and safer place for you where you have options and opportunities.
You are the future and the future needs you to be fierce. So remember, being a woman is a wonderful gift this lifetime and you have the power and potential to do and be whatever you want.
