In 2025 alone, St John WA crews reported 442 incidents of violence and aggression, an 11.9% increase on the year before. More than one in three incidents required urgent police support, and 35 resulted in injury to frontline staff.

Through 'We shouldn’t have to say it', St John WA is calling on the community to stand behind the paramedics, health staff and trainers who care for Western Australians every day. Violence and abuse have no place in healthcare and never should.

Well done to St John WA on this campaign.

Today we're recognising World Health Day alongside the World Health Organization (WHO).

Through our Women in Ambulance initiative, we champion the Women in Leadership Development Program to empower and elevate women professionals across the Australasian ambulance sector.

Recently, the group visited SA Ambulance Services' new State Health Coordination Centre and Adelaide Ambulance Station. During their visit, they heard from a range of speakers and worked together to learn new strategies for their roles.

Thank you to SA Ambulance Service for an insightful day.
