Meet Serena Martin, one of our wonderful IBD nurses. She has an extensive nursing experience - been a nurse since 2005 and is caring, empathetic and dedicated to IBD care. Our IBD nurses are an integral part of our team and work closely with gastroenterologists to provide care and support. They can help providing IBD education, advice, arranging biological therapies and urgent reviews.

For many IBD patients talking about gut issues already falls outside the "comfort zone’. Discussing " dating, intimacy and relationships" can feel quite uncomfortable. Check out this website (the result of a collaboration between IBD patients and health professionals) as a reliable and hopefully helpful source of information. Many thanks to our IBDSA friend Tina Omprakash of the South Asian IBD alliance for being generous in sharing her resources with us and the wider IBD community.
