WD Thomas Activity Centre

WDTAC has had a busy week with a wonderful Mother’s Day BBQ lunch enjoyed by all. We also made the most of the kinder weather by spending some relaxing time out in the garden area.

We were entertained by the talented Stuart Simms and Doreen, who had everyone tapping along and enjoying the music. There was plenty of action as we took on some FIFA World Cup practice, sharpening our soccer skills with chaired soccer and fun team ball challenges.

Our monthly shopping group enjoyed a supermarket outing followed by a lovely lunch together. We look forward to another jam-packed week ahead at WDTAC!

Glenarm.

On Friday we celebrated Mother’s Day - with a lovely High Tea.
Special guests were CEO Kellie & Director of Clinical Services, Katrina.

A delicious array of food was enjoyed by all & we thank the Catering staff for providing such a wonderful variety of cakes, slices & sandwiches.

All ladies were delighted to receive a small gift & cookies provided by VET Hospitality students from Kerang Technical High School.

Did you know that heart attack warning signs can be different for women and men?
Recognising these differences could save a life — maybe even your own.

Women may experience symptoms such as:
• Jaw pain
• Shortness of breath
• Pain in the back or shoulder blades

Glenarm

KDH is very proud of our ongoing collaboration with the Gannawarra Shire Council & today we welcomed Katrina (Co-Ordinator Community Partnerships) & Sharon (Grants & Community Support Officer) who exchanged artwork to be displayed within Glenarm.

Three new artworks now adorn the walls - all being Art Acquisitions purchased from the Rotary Art Show over recent years:

WD Thomas Activity Centre

WDTAC has enjoyed a fantastic mix of activities and entertainment recently. We were treated to a wonderful acapella performance by Victor, which had everyone thoroughly impressed.

Our creative side has been shining through with painting sessions, while our regular bingo games continue to bring plenty of fun and friendly competition. We also tried our hand at a unique game of skittles called Finska, which was a big hit with everyone involved.

To top it off, we challenged participants with some music quizzes—many were quick to guess the artist, but the song titles proved a little trickier! We look forward to embracing May’s Program.
