What a wonderful year we’ve had at WDTAC!

We wrapped up the year in style with our Christmas Party at Kerang Sporties Club. Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch, plenty of great company, and went home with a festive gift bag to enjoy.

WDTAC is now closed for the Christmas break and will reopen on Monday, 5 January 2026.

Glenarm.

The past week has seen a great deal of Community engagement in the lead up to Christmas.

We have been visited by students from both St.Joseph’s Primary and Kerang South Primary School’s.
St.Joseph’s presented individual cakes & cards to NUM Courtney, which were distributed to all.

Kerang South student’s sang Christmas carols & brought joy and laughter to all.

On Monday we took a bus outing to the Christmas Wonderland at Swan Hill town hall, followed by lunch at Lake Boga Foreshore.

Legacy member Joan presented hampers to several of our Legatee ladies- full of yummy Christmas treats!

WD Thomas Activity Centre

We enjoyed another wonderful trip to the Winter Wonderland in Swan Hill on Friday, 12 December. Everyone had a fantastic time soaking up the festive atmosphere, and McDonald’s on the way home was a much-appreciated treat.

Our own version of Carols by Candlelight was also a highlight, with many getting into the Christmas spirit and enjoying the music together.

The Crochet Tree Project has now been completed and is proudly on display in the KDH Hospital foyer. This special project was a true community collaboration, made possible through the combined efforts of the Men’s Shed, volunteers, Activity Centre staff, and our attendees.

We also visited St Joseph’s School to collect Christmas puddings, which will be gifted to those who attend the centre as part of our festive celebrations.

As the year draws to a close, we look forward to winding down with our final day for the year, marked by our Christmas Lunch on 22 December.
