NDCH’s Drag Queen Bingo nights were once again a huge success over the weekend, with more than 200 locals coming together across two nights to support our LGBTIQA+SB community 💛

Drag Queen extraordinaire Della Katessen brought plenty of laughs with their unique mix of bingo and music trivia, entertaining crowds in Boort and Cohuna.

“We want our LGBTIQA+SB friends to know they are heard, respected and valued,” said NDCH CEO Penny Wilkinson.

NDCH will wrap up the celebrations with a Comedy Night in Kerang at the Glasshouse on May 15.

These events have been made possible through the Pride Events and Festivals Fund.

NDCH at ARRCH Conference 2026

Last week, several members of the NDCH team attended the ARRCH Conference 2026, joining colleagues from across regional and rural Victoria to share ideas, learn from each other, and celebrate the impact of community health.

We were incredibly proud to see our team presenting and showcasing the innovative, community-focused work happening at NDCH:
Emily Wood & Tanya Maher-Toose - Listening Deeply to Community
Alex Carter - Helping People Manage Chronic Disease Confidently
Ingrid Cultivo - From Turning Point to Future Ready

A big congratulations to our presenters and everyone who attended and supported the conference. We’re proud to have NDCH contributing to important conversations shaping the future of community health.

Sharing a few moments from the conference!

The NDCH Health Promotion team has been out and about in Koondrook and Cohuna this week, dropping off Easter cards to local businesses.

While visiting, they’ve been encouraging shops to display No Smoking and No Va**ng signage to help create healthier spaces for staff, customers and the wider community.

They also took the opportunity to share the news about something fabulous coming to town… Drag Bingo! ✨

After last year’s sold-out show in Cohuna, Drag Bingo is back with a brand-new host and a fresh lineup. Expect big laughs, plenty of crowd interaction, and a night of fabulous entertainment.

At NDCH, we love supporting events that bring people together, celebrate diversity, and help build strong, connected communities.

Join us for two big nights this March:

📍 Cohuna – Friday 20 March
Big Cohuna Stockyard | 6:30pm – 9:00pm
🎟 Tickets: SOLD OUT

📍 Boort – Saturday 21 March
Boort Memorial Hall | 6:30pm – 9:00pm
🎟 Tickets: https://www.trybooking.com/DIJLE

Caring for someone can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging — and you don’t have to do it alone.
