Support matters, and no one should have to walk the dementia journey alone 💙

K-Life hosts a Dementia Support Group in Killarney for carers, families, and anyone supporting a loved one living with dementia. The group meets monthly and offers a welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and access support. Some months include guest speakers with practical insights, while others are relaxed catch-ups over a cuppa and conversation.

Australia Day is coming up

We’re looking forward to celebrating with our residents at our upcoming Australia Day event, a chance to come together, share a few stories, enjoy good company, and mark a day that’s part of our community. There’ll be familiar faces, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of reasons to smile.

A windy day didn’t stop the fun 🐾💨

Our residents wrapped up and headed out for a breezy walk with our four-legged friends, taking the dog and cat along for some fresh air and good company. The wind brought a few laughs, fluttering hair, and plenty of smiles, turning an ordinary walk into a moment worth sharing.

Simple experiences like this remind us that joy doesn’t need perfect weather, just great company and a reason to step outside.

Lock it in now. Australia Day 2026 is shaping up to be a big, family-friendly day out for the whole community.

We’ve already locked in some great attractions to keep all ages entertained, including:

🎨 Face painting with Eve’s Homestyle Creations
⛳ Mini golf, jumping castle & soccer pool thanks to JUMP N SLIDE Warwick
🎶 Live music from Nine Years Sister
🍦 Ice cream van on site

This event is about celebrating community the old-fashioned way. Local people, local fun, and space to relax and enjoy the day together.

Our K-Life Dementia Support Group is a calm, welcoming space to connect, share, and just breathe for a moment.

This session, we’re joined by Denise from , who’ll guide us through a gentle chair-based class designed for all abilities.

This quiet week is a natural time to pause. Inside our homes, the pace slows, conversations stretch out a little longer and memories come to the surface. It’s the right moment to look back on the journey that brought K-Life to where it is today.

This year marked 75 years of local care and connection. Three-quarters of a century of people supporting each other, building community, and creating a place where kindness is expected, not exceptional. Our residents carry so much of that history — lived experience, stories, hard years, good years, and everything in between. Their lives are woven into the heart of K-Life.

🎷🌿 Mid-week rewind: Jumpers & Jazz 2025 x K-Life

Still riding the post-Boxing Day calm — and thinking back on one of the coolest parts of this year: Jumpers & Jazz 2025. Between the yarn-bombed trees, the jazz drifting down Warwick’s laneways and the community magic? It was the kind of event that reminds you small towns + big hearts = pure gold.

We got to present our Living Tribute: “From Bloom to Earth,” and it felt like we were wrapping the past, present & future all into one. It wasn’t just an exhibit — it was a statement of belonging, and how our community shows up for each other.

✨ Boxing Day rewind ✨

Today feels like the right moment to look back at the moments that actually meant something this year. One of the standouts was our morning with Camerata — the strings, the sunshine, the whole community slowing down for a minute and just… being there together.

It wasn’t loud or flashy. It was real. It reminded us why connection matters and why K-Life keeps showing up for the people who show up for each other.

Christmas Day at K-Life is always something special. Our residents bring their stories, their memories and their humour to the day, and we’re grateful for every moment we get to share with them.

To the families visiting, calling or thinking of loved ones in our care — thank you. Your presence, in whatever form it takes, means more than you know. And to the families who are missing someone this year, we’re holding space for you.

A huge thank-you to our staff working today. Christmas in residential care doesn’t pause, and the kindness you bring into the building is what makes the day feel warm and grounded for everyone who calls K-Life home.

From all of us here, Merry Christmas. May your day be gentle, meaningful and filled with connection in whatever way you need.

The lead-up to Christmas always brings a mix of excitement and tender moments here at K-Life Residential. The decorations are up, the carols have been drifting down the halls, and our residents have been sharing stories about the Christmases that shaped them — the funny ones, the meaningful ones and the ones that still make them smile.

These days before Christmas tend to slow everyone down a little, and that’s not a bad thing. It gives us time to check in, sit for a chat and make sure every resident feels settled and supported heading into the holiday.

To our families: thank you for the visits, the calls and the small acts of kindness you keep bringing through our doors. They make a difference.

We’re looking forward to the week ahead and all the moments it brings.
