🏡 Staff Housing Project Update 🏡

We’re excited to share an update on our K-Life Staff Housing Project — an important initiative focused on supporting and strengthening our local workforce.

This project is all about creating practical, long-term solutions to help attract and retain staff in Killarney. By investing in housing, we’re investing in our people — and in the future of care and services in our community.

Over recent weeks, there’s been plenty happening on the ground, with significant building work underway alongside continued planning to bring this vision to life. It’s been fantastic to see the project really taking shape, and the level of support and interest from across the community has been incredibly encouraging.

🚗💛 Drive to Care – Bringing Healthcare Closer to Home 💛🚗

At K-Life, we believe everyone deserves access to quality care — no matter where they live.

Our Drive to Care campaign is all about making that happen. We’re working towards purchasing and fitting out a dedicated Community Health Outreach Vehicle, allowing our nurses, allied health team and medical staff to reach people who can’t always reach us.

From isolated older residents to busy families, this initiative will help deliver essential healthcare right where it’s needed most — at home, in the community, and close to the people we care about.

This is more than just a vehicle — it’s about connection, dignity, and ensuring no one misses out on the care they need.

Every contribution, big or small, helps us get closer to our goal and makes a real difference in the lives of our community.

This is a great opportunity for eligible patients to access a bone density scan, which can help with early detection of conditions like osteoporosis.

As part of a planned transition, K-Life is moving to a structure that supports strong, visible leadership on-site each day. We’re pleased to share that Andrew Millard has stepped into the role of General Manager, leading our day-to-day operations and working closely with our Leadership Team and Board.

Many of you already know Andrew, and we’re confident in the care, commitment, and steady leadership he brings to our community.

Most importantly, we want to reassure you that nothing changes in the care and support we provide. Our residents, clients, and community remain at the heart of everything we do, and our team continues to deliver the same high standard of care each and every day.

From raising funds for vital equipment and resources to creating moments of connection and care, the Auxiliary plays an important role in enhancing the lives of those at K-Life.
