Wow! What a fabulous turnout we had on Friday, 5th September for our Father’s Day / Special Persons Afternoon Tea!
From milkshakes to coloured hairspray and biscuit decorating, the afternoon was filled with fun and laughter.

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to join us, we loved celebrating with you!

We had a lovely end to celebrating our Book Week last week, the rooms had some beautiful group time interactions reading themed books as well as some of the books the children bought in from home. They had some amazing experiences and activities each day for the children to participate in which seemed to be a big hit!

Well done for Monique, Bianca and Kyrstyn winning the last two days of our ‘Best Dressed’

Next Wednesday 3rd of September is Educators Day! If you haven’t had a chance, please take a moment to visit the area we’ve set up on the events table.

We warmly welcome and encourage families to take one of the cards provided, write the name of one educator and a positive message, and place it in the box provided.

These lovely messages will be collated and gifted to the educators they’re written for. You’re welcome to write messages for multiple educators—just ensure it’s one educator per card 🙂

If you don’t have time to write a card, feel free to email the service directly with your message, and we’ll pass it on.

Have you seen our new Child Safe Standards wall, created by our wonderful kinder teacher Teegan?

It’s a beautiful reflection of our commitment to safety and inclusion, and we’re so proud of the work Teegan has done.

Also, underneath our QIP shelf in the hallway, we’ve placed a question we’d love families to answer using the rocks and jar provided.
Your input is valuable and helps shape our shared vision for continuous improvement.

We have seen some amazing costumes so far this week and can’t wait to see what the rest of the week bring!

Congratulations on Teegan for winning best dressed on Monday and our educators Brooke, Claudia, Danielle, Monique, April and Mel B in the Nursery Hub for winning collectively on Tuesday!

The past two days have been a fantastic start to our book week at Brighthouse!

We have had the pleasure of two amazing authors grace us with their presence and read their book to the children in our service.

On Monday we had Karleigh, the author of ‘Dingley The Dancing Dinosaur’ who is a secondary teacher and former primary teacher. In 2023, she was thrilled to have her story published! She has always loved dancing, thought dinosaurs were the coolest creatures ever, and has a big, fun imagination that loves dreaming up adventures. Karleigh is also an aunty to four amazing nieces and nephews, who love hearing her story.

On Tuesday we had a visit from Naurelle Palmer the author of ‘A Big Tall Tower’.

Naurelle is a self-published author, kinder teacher, mum, and grandma from Seymour. She loves butterflies, books, and songs, and brings her stories to life with warmth and creativity.
