LETS TALK DRY NEEDLING‼️

💥 Dry needling is a therapy based off acupuncture where a fine acupuncture needle is inserted into the skin and muscle of a myofascial trigger point.

✅ The aim of dry needling is to increase blood flow to the muscle which results in removing inflammation, decreasing pain & even improving range of motion.

💆🏼‍♀️ Dry needling is often used by many of our practitioners in the clinic!! If you think this treatment is for you, have a chat to your KWC practitioner!!

LETS TALK CUPPING 💥

❓Have you seen people walking around with red circle shaped marks all over them?? These come from cupping!!

✅ Cupping sucks the skin up into the cup, drawing the blood to the surface of the area. This aims to increase the blood flow to the muscle which will assist in relieving muscle tension and promote cell repair.

RUNNING STRENGTH – PART 3 🏃🏼‍♀️
✅ If you want to run stronger, longer, and with fewer niggles… single-leg strength + core control is non-negotiable.

Here’s what we’re working on this week:

1️⃣ Walking March with Overhead Weight
Drive the knee up with control while holding a weight overhead.
-Targets hip flexors
-Challenges core stability
-Encourages tall running posture

2️⃣ Bulgarian Split Squats
- Builds single-leg strength
- Improves balance + control
- Transfers directly to your stride

3️⃣ Side Plank with Hip Abduction
- Fires up glute medius
- Improves pelvic stability
- Essential for strong, efficient single-leg stance (aka every step you take while running)

4️⃣ Deep Hold Squat Jumps
Sit deep, hold, explode.
- Develops power
- Improves force production
- Builds resilience for faster running
