How The Float House Began...
Founded by Kerry and Scott Thurrowgood. “In 2015 our world was changed forever. Scott sustained a back injury which meant he was no longer able to work and we were forced to close our business down. For the next 2 years we spent countless hours at the doctors, neurosurgeons and travelled overseas to try anything that would heal his back or reduce his pain. The pain was debilitating.
We started looking into alternative therapies. First we tried Infrared Saunas. The benefits were instant. We knew we were on the right track. We did more research and tried Float therapy, Cryo and Oxygen therapy. The difference in his pain as a result of the treatments was significant. The only problem was the drive. Constantly driving in to the city was frustrating and not practical long term with a young family with 4 kids. We figured if we were sick of the drive, others would be too.”
That is how Melbourne Float House was born.
The Float House is the only wellness centre of it’s kind that offers all these therapies under one roof: Float Therapy, Cryotherapy, Infrared Sauna Therapy, Lymphatic drainage, Body Composition Scans, DNA Fitness and Nutrition Reports, Cryolipolysis, Reiki and Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
