A 2-Hour Yin Yoga Immersion

Yin for Shoulders, Neck & Upper Spine

Yin Yoga is traditionally known for opening the lower body and spine—but when we bring focus to the neck, shoulders, and upper body, we unlock a whole new level of freedom, ease, and wellbeing.

In this special Yin Yoga immersion, we’ll work deeply through the wrists, arms, shoulders, and neck, while also incorporating classic Yin poses to bring balance and a full-body sense of release.

Why the Upper Body?
In today’s world, we carry an enormous amount of tension in the neck and shoulders. Hours spent at desks, on computers, or hunched over phones creates a cascade of stress throughout the upper body.

Over time, this tightness can lead to:
-Headaches
-Shallow, restricted breathing
-Low energy and fatigue
-Chronic pain and reduced mobility

A tight upper body doesn’t just cause physical discomfort—it can affect how we live, move, and feel every single day.

What You’ll Experience:
-Deep release for the upper body and neck

Balance. I tell you who wasn’t balanced 20 min ago 🙋‍♀️ I pity my neighbours….loading up paddle boards and kayaks on the roof of my car in the school holidays while feeling pressure of small business, massive first world problems… but I lost control I yelled at the kids I swore at the car I properly felt sorry for myself. As soon as we hit the water, I apologised to the kids and lent myself some self compassion felt a bit like an entitled git for a while then got over it. i had a great conversation with a wonderful yoga teacher recently…. He said yoga happens at the dinner table not on the mat... I can’t agree more. Life is full of chances to practice at the dinner table! Give it a go. 😉

What your body needs vrs trends and fitness fads. It looks different. Very different. I have been teaching well over 2 decades and I have seen many fads come and go. What we need is community, consistency (sometime this comes in cycles) and self compassion. No shame, no trends and no empty promises. You don’t need to be fixed , you didn’t do anything wrong, slowdown and breathe. Let your body recover then we go from there. We will support you through this. Then you will have this moment you will catch yourself jogging up the stairs, or effortlessly repotting plants, picking up kids, responding with a level head, taking your time to answer questions and meet needs. It’s about more than building muscle mass, that’s a great side effect. Over time you will gain strength, flexibility and trust that you will show up. But know this, it takes time, and we have that.

How to Grow Taller (Yes, Really!)

As we age, many of us notice we’re not quite as tall as we used to be. Why? Because our fascia and deep connective tissues gradually dehydrate, contract, and shrink—pulling us inward and downward.
But here’s the good news: Yin Yoga offers a powerful way to reverse this pattern.

This deeply invigorating practice helps to rehydrate fascia, lengthen muscles, and create space within the body—leaving you feeling lighter, more open, and maybe even a little taller!

Catch this G-Mumma (can you even believe that!) on Mondays 5pm and Tuesdays 6:30pm for her restorative Yin classes. Not many people can calm my monkey brain that this woman can! Her sessions are more than a Yin class. Fiona has a depth of knowledge and life experience that goes beyond the postures of Yin. She holds a judgment free nurturing class. AND have you seen the plants in the Yoga studio? Literally the only human around that can keep plants alive in our space. The plants love her and so do I! Join her yin sessions, you will feel reset, understood and ready for the week ahead! 💥
