When any of us lose someone we love, we need the time that follows to be as smooth and as uncomplicated as possible.
Some funeral homes employ deliberately confusing pricing to maximise their invoice to you.

At Killicks, We NEVER charge additional fees to transport someone back from Brisbane or Toowoomba. We dont charge so-called dual venue fees to charge extra for going to a cemetery following a funeral.
Charging to view your loved one is simply wrong and is something we have never done. Its your loved one and its your right to see the person to say goodbye.

As for “After Hours” fees??
Funeral Directors all advertise themselves as a 24 hour business. There should be no such thing as “After Hours”
At Killicks, we do not charge anything extra to be called out outside of usual office hours.

Today we joined with the wonderful family of Emmanuel Hegarty as they came to say farewell for now to such a fantastic man.

We heard many funny stories of this amazing man. He will be forever loved.

Emmanuel Matthew Hegarty, a cherished and respected member of the community, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on May 27, 1959, Manny dedicated his life to advocating for the rights and wellbeing of the Aboriginal community, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and love.
