Shared these yummy Christmas treats with all the awesome young swimmers at dryland training this morning. A massive thank you to coach Terry for including me in your swim program. Thank you also to the swimmers for their energy and sometimes enthusiasm πŸ˜€ so early in the morning!!! For those who were away and missed out πŸ™ you can always make these at home to put on the Christmas table πŸŽ…πŸŒ². A yummy healthy addition to Christmas and so simple to make.

Hope everyone has had an awesome week on their fruit and vege. We have enjoyed this week, it gets easier as you start looking to add more variety. Also it is a great chance to try something different. I have included the recipes we contributed from our winning State of Origin night. GO QLD!

Another tip about our 40 fruit and vege challenge. This challenge includes all foods that come from a plant that are as close to their natural state as possible. Whole grains that have not been processed to be unrecognisable and have lost their nutritional value are included, like brown rice. Grains in white bread have been highly processed and have lost most of their nutritional value. Plus with a lot of processed foods you could be consuming additives and preservatives. It has been great hearing about everyone's extra efforts to increase their healthy food consumption.

We were pretty busy and using left overs unfortunately doesn't help improve the numbers πŸ™„ Hope everyone is enjoying the challenge and is looking for something different to add to their menu. Here is a wonderful challenge to improve your health and well being.
If you want to participate here a few guidelines to help along the way.
- 40 veges/fruits/seeds/nuts over 7 days
- eat a portion size to count it, so a portion of sesame seeds could be sprinkled over food over a few days and still count.
- try not to overdo the fruit
- do the challenge every 7.days for a month
- feel free to post photos of your list and even recipes that you think are great for increasing the tally

So.one of my beautiful clients, without naming names always says she would rather we had a cup of tea together!!! So after a short, lovely cup of lemongrass, ginger and sencha tea we got into our workout. Hehehe, now she will need a new strategy :)
