As a studio owner, my vision has always been to create more than just a place to practice
a space to come home to yourself
A sanctuary for healing, embodiment and belonging

My path has been shaped by many disciplines
Iyengar yoga first taught me to listen to the quiet wisdom of alignment and breath
Years of Taekwondo gave me discipline, courage and presence
Pole dance offered a new kind of strength rooted in expression, sensuality and reclaiming space in the body

Through each of these practices, I’ve come to understand movement as medicine
Breath as prayer
The body as a sacred place of remembering

What we now offer in the studio is a living tapestry woven not just through my own journey but through a handpicked team of incredible teachers
Each brings their own magic unique wisdom, energy and passion
holding space with authenticity and care

Together we create a kula a heart centered community
A space to soften, to sweat, to be seen
A place to honour the body as both temple and teacher

There is a tenderness that lives in the heart, a quiet longing to love and be loved. Yet life has a way of wrapping us in armor, of closing the doors when we have been hurt.

Heart opening poses invite us to unlock those doors. To peel away the layers of tension. To remember what it feels like to breathe deeply into our own chest.

When the heart opens something shifts…

Lately, I’ve been asking myself what sadhana really means.
Traditionally, it’s defined as a spiritual practice - a means to accomplish something. But the deeper I go, the more I realise it’s not about achieving. It’s about relating. About living with intention and staying present with what’s real - even when it’s not polished or peaceful.

For a long time, I believed sadhana was something structured and disciplined: early mornings, strong asana, breathwork, silence. And while those are beautiful, they’re not the whole truth.

Sadhana can also be:
✨ standing barefoot in the kitchen and remembering to feel your feet.
✨ crying on the mat and letting that be enough.
✨ breathing through frustration instead of collapsing into it.
✨ showing up, even imperfectly.

There have been seasons where I couldn’t keep up with the version of practice I thought I should be doing. And I felt like I was failing.

But I’ve come to see that sadhana is not a performance. It’s a return - a quiet, steady coming home to myself, again and again.

It’s how I tend to my inner life while life keeps moving around me. It’s how I keep choosing presence - in parenting, in grief, in joy, in exhaustion.

Yoga isn’t something I go do anymore. It’s something I live into - breath by breath, moment by moment.

If you’ve been waiting to get your practice “back on track,” maybe this is your reminder: you’re not behind. You’re not broken. You’re not doing it wrong.

Your life - exactly as it is - can be your sadhana.

And if your heart’s been nudging you toward your mat, toward breath, toward movement, toward community - come. Gently. As you are.

Some days we rise with effort,
Others we surrender into ease.
Both are sacred. Both are practice.

Through her classes and broader work, she guides others to grow their inner practice of grounding and regulating, learning and understanding, meeting challenges and progressing further. Ultimately, Jacq loves seeing those she works with feel more aligned, connected, and empowered in their bodymind health and total wellbeing.

Jacq’s integrated approach reflects her multi-modality qualifications across yoga, pilates, clinical rehab, meditation, remedial therapy, and holistic coaching — also working one-on-one with everyday people and athletes to overcome pain, injury, stress, and other blocks in bodymind.
