Our chakras: Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root are more than just concepts.
They are energetic centres, spinning vortices aligned along the spine, constantly working to regulate and balance the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers of our being.
When these centres are in harmony, we feel aligned, grounded, and connected. When they are blocked or overwhelmed, it can manifest not only emotionally, but physically too. True healing begins when we acknowledge that our body and spirit are not separate they are deeply intertwined, always communicating.
Recently, I experienced a two hour sound healing meditation that brought this awareness into full presence.
My body entered a state of deep rest the kind of restorative stillness we often don’t realise we need until we surrender into it. As the session unfolded, I felt heat rising through my root chakra, followed by a strong warmth and heaviness in my solar plexus. These weren’t just sensations they felt like releases, like energy shifting and recalibrating.
As I softened further, there was a distinct moment where I felt a separation between my physical and spiritual self. My body became incredibly heavy, almost anchored to the ground, especially through my wrists and limbs. It took conscious effort to move, as though my physical form was holding space while my spirit was free to explore, process, and receive.
And then came the return.
I was welcomed back into my body through an intense, full body vibration, powerful yet grounding. I could feel what resembled seven spinning discs, each one representing a chakra, aligning and reintegrating into my physical self. It felt like a recalibration, a remembering, a coming home.
Healing isn’t always loud or obvious. Sometimes it’s subtle, energetic, and deeply internal. But when we give ourselves the space to receive, whether through meditation, sound, or stillness, our body and spirit know exactly what to do.
Trust the process. Your energy knows the way.
