Christmas Reminders (Autism Edition) from - relevant for the entire holiday season:

* You don't have to do what everyone else is doing
* Take time out in a quiet space when needed
* You are allowed to say no
* Noise, lights, social stuff and change can be hard
* It's okay to stick with your normal safe foods
* Be kind to yourself
* Good emotions can be overwhelming too
* Routine and normality will return soon

When a child's sensory magnets results in a full-body workout!
When a child with complex communication needs makes it known that they want to get out of their supportive stroller and move with you. Who needs the gym when you can do squats and dips whilst at work?
When rolling on the floor becomes a game of chasey.
When a child challenges you to a wall sit.
When a group of boys team up during a game of tail chase.
When the mums join girls group and become super competitive with a game of hot potato.
