Introducing our new Robe Community Paramedics, Daniel and Kim.

As community paramedics, they partner with local service providers to help vulnerable people manage their health at home.

“Having worked in the country before, I was excited to integrate myself and help people living in remote areas such as Robe,” said Kim.

Daniel describes the role of a Community Paramedic as being whatever the community needs.

“It is about trying to identify problems before it becomes worse, and manage complex and chronic cases through a collaborative approach with the local health services,” said Daniel.

From building strong relationships with community members to working closely with multidisciplinary health teams, emergency services an our own volunteer ambulance team in Robe, Daniel and Kim are already making a positive impact.

We look forward to seeing more of their amazing work. 🚑💖

Contract Cleaner Required – Kingston Medical Centre

Limestone Coast Health Unit Trust is seeking a professional and reliable Contract Cleaner to provide high-quality cleaning services in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Cleaning and sanitising consulting rooms, treatment rooms, waiting areas, offices, and amenities
• Maintaining strict infection prevention and control standards in line with Infection prevention and control guidelines
• Safe handling and disposal of waste in accordance with healthcare regulations
• Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Essential Requirements:
• Previous cleaning experience (healthcare or medical setting highly regarded)
• Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards relevant to medical practices
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Public Liability Insurance (minimum coverage to be specified by the practice)
• Ability to work independently and reliably
• ABN required
Hours:
Approximately 2- 2.5 hours - Tuesday evening /Thursday evening/Weekend/Locum Doctor’s house (as required)

After careful consideration, we’ve decided this new scheme isn’t financially sustainable for our practice. The rebates offered do not cover the true cost of providing high-quality, comprehensive medical care — including staff, rent, equipment, and the time needed to give each patient proper attention.

Our goal has always been to provide the best possible care, not just the quickest. Continuing with our current mixed-billing arrangements allows us to maintain longer consultations, thorough follow-up, and the high standards you expect from us.
