📣 A helping hand from Medicare!
From March 1 Medicare has expanded funding for children and young people under 25 years who need Speech Therapy.
For many families, this can make a real difference.
If a child is experiencing:
* stuttering
* Ongoing difficulty being understood
* Persistent speech sound errors
* Childhood apraxia of speech or dysarthria
* Speech differences related to cleft lip/palate
They may now be eligible for this plan called an M10.
It includes rebates towards:
✅ up to 8 assessment sessions
✅ up to 20 treatment sessions
If eligible, GPs and Paediatricians must write a letter referring a child for the M10 Medicare plan to the Speech Pathologist/ Speech Therapy clinic.
