We are very excited to announce that the ADHD tier 1 launched on Monday!

This means that NSW GPs with Tier 1 training can continue ADHD prescriptions for patients who already have a diagnosis and have been initiated on medication.

With this change, you can expect:

✅Faster, easier access to your scripts
✅Less cost and less waiting for specialists
✅Ongoing care with your regular GP

It's a big step forward for ADHD care in NSW.

Heart disease affects women in ways that are often overlooked, but taking control of your heart health starts with simple steps. At Family Medical Practices, we encourage all our patients to stay heart smart by understanding their risk and keeping up with key checks.

Today, focus on your heart health:
✅ Book regular blood pressure and cholesterol checks
✅ Stay active – even short walks, dancing or stretching count
✅ Make heart-healthy food choices – plenty of vegetables, whole grains, lean protein and healthy fats
✅ Limit added sugar and highly processed foods

Small, consistent changes can make a big difference to protect your heart.

You might be wondering why such a serious cause is symbolised by something a little silly; a big red nose. It’s because laughter and light can bring people together, and that sense of community is powerful when facing something as devastating as the loss of a baby or child.

This Red Nose Day, we’ve added a splash of red to some of our doctors to show our support. Behind the fun is an important purpose: raising funds for research, education, and support services that save little lives and help grieving families.
