Do you need help sticking with it?

Many times when we help we do not really serve.
Serving is also different from fixing.

Seeing yourself as a fixer may cause you to see brokenness everywhere, to sit in judgment of life itself. When we fix others, we may not see their hidden wholeness or trust the integrity of the life in them. Fixers trust their own expertise.

Helping, fixing, and serving represent three different ways of seeing life. When you help, you see life as weak. When you fix, you see life as broken. When you serve, you see life as whole.

When we serve, we see the unborn wholeness in others; we collaborate with it and strengthen it. Others may then be able to see their wholeness for themselves for the first time.

Fixing and helping may be the work of the ego, and service the work of the soul.

A soulmate is an ongoing connection with another individual that the soul picks up again in various times and places over lifetimes.

We are attracted to another person at a soul level not because that person is our unique complement, but because by being with that individual, we are somehow provided with an impetus to become whole ourselves.

A person recently said something about "negative emotions like fear"
Emotions are not negative (or positive) - it's how we express them that can be negative.
If anything, fear is a superpower - it sharpens the senses, strengthens the muscles and improves focus to where it feels like time slows down!!
How do you handle your emotions (especially over the festive season)?

Ladies - how well do you know your body?
Do you know what happens when you or**sm?
Do you celebrate your monthly cycle or do you dread it?
When you got your first period did you get a packet of pads tossed in your direction and told to keep it secret?
What would you tell your younger self about that time if you could go back to then? Or what would you tell your daughter?
What if you were to celebrate the power held in your body?

I am launching a celebration of the female body aimed at educating females (young or old!) about how their body works and celebrating how it changes. Changes to the body have been celebrated by cultures across the globe - especially the change to Motherhood - so why has the Western culture shamed us for the changes our bodies make monthly to prepare for motherhood?
It is time to end the stigma associated with periods, claim the power within your body and empower yourself with knowledge.

Sorry I have been quiet here lately, I have been working on both my self care and reducing my self neglect.
What's self neglect you ask?
It's the opposite of self care - all the things you do that are damaging you in some manner (emotionally, physically, spiritually, psychologically)
We all know how to do basic self care - eat healthy foods, get some exercise, connect with others, etc
But do you know how to practice and reinforce your commitment to reducing self neglect?
Do you buy a pile of vegetables and fruit only to throw them away because they went off before you ate them?
Do you pile your plate with food and eat even though you aren't that hungry?
Do you still fit into your gym clothes? Or has the exercise bike you bought at the start of lockdown been gathering dust?
Do you pick up your phone to call a friend only to find yourself scrolling mindlessly through social media?
I admit that I have thrown away fruit and vegetables (thanks kids!!).
Sometimes I still eat too much (thanks to my parents for the "you have to eat everything on your plate" mindset! )
And sometimes I do scroll mindlessly, just because my brain needs a break!
But I am glad to say that my gym clothes still fit! Thanks to my dog needing a daily walk!

So on my daily walk (6-7km!) I have been listening to various podcasts and I have been inspired to create a series of meditation sessions (these will be held as group sessions if I can get the numbers)
So far I have developed:
1. Basic introduction to meditation and hypnotherapy
2. Creating a healthy lifestyle (improve your relationship with food, exercise, sleep, etc)
3. Breaking bad habits
4. Finding balance
5. Connecting with your spirit guides and inner divinity
6.???

If you know what the 6th session should be, please give me ideas!

Looking forward to setting up a group with you soon!

Do you know how to say No?
It's not just saying No to a person requesting something from you, but saying No to yourself!
Do you have trouble stopping at 1 piece of chocolate?
Or stopping yourself from reaching for a cigarette or an alcoholic drink (or something else)?
Why not take control of your life through hypnotherapy?
Book a session today!

Do whatever you can to get through your darkest days

A friend shared this and I really liked the lesson! *original poster (Kate Scott 2020)*:

RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.

When I was at one of my lowest (mental) points in life, I couldn’t get out of bed some days. I had no energy or motivation and was barely getting by.
I had therapy once per week, and on this particular week I didn’t have much to ‘bring’ to the session. He asked how my week was and I really had nothing to say.
“What are you struggling with?” he asked.
I gestured around me and said “I dunno man. Life.”
Not satisfied with my answer, he said “No, what exactly are you worried about right now? What feels overwhelming? When you go home after this session, what issue will be staring at you?”
I knew the answer, but it was so ridiculous that I didn’t want to say it.
I wanted to have something more substantial.
Something more profound.
But I didn’t.
So I told him, “Honestly? The dishes. It’s stupid, I know, but the more I look at them the more I CAN’T do them because I’ll have to scrub them before I put them in the dishwasher, because the dishwasher sucks, and I just can’t stand and scrub the dishes.”
I felt like an idiot even saying it.
What kind of grown ass woman is undone by a stack of dishes? There are people out there with *actual* problems, and I’m whining to my therapist about dishes?
But my therapist nodded in understanding and then said:

“RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.”

I began to tell him that you’re not supposed to, but he stopped me.
“Why the hell aren’t you supposed to? If you don’t want to scrub the dishes and your dishwasher sucks, run it twice. Run it three times, who cares?! Rules do not exist, so stop giving yourself rules.”
It blew my mind in a way that I don’t think I can properly express.
That day, I went home and tossed my smelly dishes haphazardly into the dishwasher and ran it three times.
I felt like I had conquered a dragon.
The next day, I took a shower lying down.
A few days later. I folded my laundry and put them wherever the f**k they fit.
There were no longer arbitrary rules I had to follow, and it gave me the freedom to make accomplishments again.
Now that I’m in a healthier place, I rinse off my dishes and put them in the dishwasher properly. I shower standing up. I sort my laundry.

But at a time when living was a struggle instead of a blessing, I learned an incredibly important lesson:

THERE ARE NO RULES.
RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE!!!
