Our participants enjoyed a community outing to Townsville Shopping Centre, building confidence, independence, and real-world life skills through supported community access. Days like these are all about connection, choice, and meaningful participation in everyday environments.

Our Day Program kicked off this morning with our smaller group diving into their interests - creating an ocean-themed mixed media display and exploring shells and sea glass together 🌊🐚

🎄 Merry Christmas from all of us! 🎄

As we head into the festive season, we’d like to let our families and participants know that our Allied Health office will be closed from Wednesday 24 December and will reopen on Monday 5 January.

Our Support Work services will continue to operate as usual over the holiday period, ensuring ongoing support where it’s needed.

For those who don’t know….Kirsty will soon be moving to the Sunshine Coast, and while she will remain part of the Journey Connect team, this change may feel different for some of the clients she supports. To help them understand and express their feelings, we created a social story that walks through the transition in a gentle, visual, child-friendly way. Social stories are a powerful tool to help children make sense of change and feel safe, connected, and understood. 🌱
