A proud Kogarah local, Jamiel is passionate about helping his community reach their full potential. He’s committed to patient-centred care, empowering each person to take charge of their recovery and get back to what they love. With a strong background in high-performance sport, Jamiel brings a particular interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation, drawing on his experiences as both an athlete and a practitioner.

That sharp pain down the front of your shins after running or training is usually a sign your body’s under stress. Common causes include:

👣 Rapid increases in training load or intensity
👣 Running on hard surfaces
👣 Worn-out or unsupportive shoes
👣 Muscle imbalances or poor biomechanics

The fix? Think gradual progress, supportive footwear, and strength work to build resilience. If the pain sticks around, it’s time to check in with a physio before it turns into something more serious.

Meet Chantal. 👋🏼
One of our physiotherapists with over 20 years of experience, holding a Bachelor of Sport Science from UNSW and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney.

Chantal has worked across hospital, private practice, aged care, and rehabilitation settings both here and overseas. She’s guided patients through post-surgical rehab, supported post-natal mothers, and treated everyone from adolescents to athletes. Her approach blends hands-on therapy, dry needling, and tailored exercise programs — always delivered with empathy (and a sense of humour).

Outside the clinic, you might catch her chatting cricket or any sport — she’s always up for the conversation! 🏏
