Our Cardiac Services team has gone above and beyond to raise awareness for at St George Private Hospital ❤️

It all began with free blood pressure checks and heart health education for all staff and visitors in the hospital foyer.

Our teams then tapped into their competitive side to win points for their ward by participating in a cardiac quiz, educational sessions about heart health, and even had to guess who was inside our heart costume this year!

Thank you to everyone who organised and took part in such an incredible lineup of events. Your commitment to raising awareness for the Heart Foundation is truly admirable.

An exciting expansion is now underway at St George Private Hospital.

We’re constructing two new operating theatres and two shell theatre spaces, ready to be fitted out in the future to meet growing demand.

Due to open in early 2027, the new theatres are designed to provide a more seamless experience for our patients.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and our team at St George Private Hospital has been putting the fun in fundraising! 💗

Through raffles, cake stalls and donations the team has raised almost $5,000 to support people living with breast cancer. Importantly, the team has also been raising awareness about the importance of early detection.

Breast cancer awareness starts with all of us, and early detection saves lives.

In partnership with Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council, Blooms & More Florist Sydney and Impact Policy, we honoured and celebrated the history, culture and achievements of First Nations people. 🖤💛❤️

At St George Private Hospital, we’re proud to support the fight against brain cancer — and thanks to the incredible efforts of Nurse Unit Manager Kim Wallace and the Level 4 surgical ward team, we’ve just achieved our biggest fundraising result yet.

Through their “Beanies 4 Brain” initiative, the team raised an amazing $7,448.60 for the Mark Hughes Foundation this year — selling 182 beanies and running a cake stall and raffle, with many of the treats generously baked by our own staff.

This cause is close to our hearts, and we’re committed to doing our part to support research and improve outcomes for those affected by brain cancer.
