One of the biggest conversations we’re having with practices and healthcare organisations right now isn’t just about finding people, it’s about keeping great people.

Healthcare and medical services are growing faster than ever, but the workforce simply isn’t keeping pace. The reality is that talented clinicians have more choice than ever before, and employers who move slowly or don’t prioritise culture are finding it harder to secure the right people.

For employers, my advice is simple, move faster and invest in retention. Streamline your recruitment process, communicate clearly with candidates, and make sure your team feels supported, valued and developed.

Healthcare has always been about people. The practices and organisations that remember that, will always stand out.

Hello, my name is Birgit. Pam helped me secure my dream role in allied health.

I’m originally from the Berlin in Germany, but I now proudly call the Northern Rivers of New South Wales home.

Back in Germany, life was structured, and beautifully efficient, but Australia has opened my eyes (and my heart) to a different rhythm. The people here are wonderfully warm and easygoing, always ready with a smile, a story, or an invite to the beach after work. The sunshine is endless, as is the sense of community.

Working in allied health, I’ve been amazed by how flexible and supportive the working conditions are. There’s a genuine balance between professionalism and lifestyle that’s rare to find elsewhere.

So, I’m raising a toast (with a pilsner, not one of those fruity craft beers you all love) to this beautiful country, its people, and the Aussie way of life. Equal parts purpose and play.
