Made the trip to Brisbane to catch up with Dr. Reza Adib recently to share experience on bariatric management and surgical techniques.

Reza has a wealth of bariatric experience and it was great to pick his brain on how to fine tune our practice.

It was also a privilege to catch up with Dr. Daniel Foley, Melbourne Bariatric Surgeon, to share knowledge on current trends in bariatric and upper GI management.

It is human nature to strive for more but equally, we should never beat ourselves down when certain results don't go our way.

Never forget the small and intermediate mile stones that you have collected along the way - certain weight drop check points, resolution of pre-existing medical conditions, gaining back fitness and the ability to do things which were difficult before...

It is important to cherish the journey, set realistic weight loss targets and not beat yourself up when things don't go your way. Remember, you are already winning the battle when you had decided to take back control! 💪💪💪🦾
