Ever wondered why people show up so differently in relationships? 💭
Attachment theory suggests many of us tend to fall into one of four main attachment styles. These are patterns that shape how we connect, communicate, and respond to closeness.

✨ Secure – Comfortable with intimacy and independence.
✨ Anxious – Craves closeness but may worry about rejection or abandonment.
✨ Avoidant – Values independence and may feel uncomfortable with too much emotional closeness.
✨ Disorganised(anxious-avoidant) – Wants connection but may also fear getting hurt.

The important thing to remember: attachment styles aren’t labels or life sentences. With awareness, reflection, and supportive relationships, people can move toward more secure patterns over time. 🌱

Understanding your attachment style can be a powerful first step toward healthier relationships—with others and with yourself.

Looking to understand your relationships on a deeper level? 💭

“Attached” is a powerful, easy-to-read guide to how our attachment styles shape the way we connect with others. Drawing on attachment science, the book explains why we might feel anxious, avoidant, or secure in relationships and how recognising these patterns can help us build healthier, more supportive connections.

A great read for anyone curious about their relationship patterns or wanting to improve communication and emotional wellbeing. 📚✨

The relationship between a therapist and a client is mutually respectful, ethical, and client-centred. 🌻

The codes of conduct in Australia for psychologists and counsellors ensure therapy is a safe space for both the client and therapist, where autonomy and authenticity are valued.

At Mind Connect Psychology, client respect and safety are our top priority. ✨

Take a sneak peak into our first team Quarter Connect for 2026! 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾💡⚖️

Last week, some of our clinicians and our admin team came together to reflect and connect. We made space to celebrate progress, have honest conversations, and set goals for personal and professional growth. 🌿

Stronger connections within our team means deeper care for our clients. And of course, no team meeting is complete without the mandatory side of TimTams! 🍫
