This week the importance of the "rupture and repair" process has been a part of a few parent sessions , because it is the absolute foundation of a healthy parent-child relationship. Why - it teaches children that connection is stronger than conflict. It proves to a child that when a relationship breaks, it can be fixed. Why Rupture and Repair Is Critical is because it creates a Secure Attachment, Builds Emotional Resilience, Teaches Accountability, Prevents Shame and shapes future relationships.

Daneel was awarded into the Australian College of Supervisors (ACA).
Recently Daneel was accepted into and completed Clinical Supervision training (STS model) in Freemantle WA.
Daneel is excited to be registered as a Clinical Supervisor in both Play Therapy ( APPTA) and in Counselling, with the Australian Counselling Association (to include supporting a broad range of mental health and allied health students and professionals , as well as counsellors).

Australia spends $15.2 billion every year on the consequences of not investing in children early enough.

The 2026–27 budget invested $750 million+ in teenager and youth mental health services. That investment is welcome and necessary — young people in crisis deserve support.

But the science is clear: the highest return on investment in child health and wellbeing comes from the earliest years of life. Conception to age five. The first 1,000 days. The window when brain architecture is established, attachment relationships are formed, and the foundations of emotional regulation are laid.

That window received no dedicated framework investment in this budget. Not a policy. Not a program. Not a line item.

We are attempting to fix the downstream flood while leaving the tap running upstream.
