It depends.

💭 Some kids do improve their balance as they grow, move more, and build strength. That’s a normal part of development.

🧠 But if your child is constantly tripping, struggling to sit still, or seems unsure on their feet, there might be more going on (like low muscle tone, developmental delays, or other neurological conditions).

Let’s talk about the latest NDIS price guide.

Allied health makes up just 11% of the NDIS budget, but we bear the brunt of the responsibility to help our clients maintain function and independence.

Physios under the NDIS are being undervalued — and it doesn’t add up.
Rates for physiotherapy have not been raised in over 5 years and we are now facing a price cut of up to $40 per hour, plus the slashed funding for travel expense.

Aligning rates with medicare and private health overlooks the key differences:

🚗 NDIS physios often travel to you
⏱ Sessions are longer and more complex
🧠 Conditions being treated are more complex and require specialised training and often hours of education and researcc
💸 No gap fees — unlike Medicare & private health
😮‍💨 Expectations of workload remain unchanged

We provide essential services to some of the most vulnerable people.
Physiotherapy is a diagnostic service.
We assess, advocate, educate, treat, and collaborate.
We are no less in value than our allied health counterparts.
