When it comes to looking after your loved ones we at Perry & Oster Funerals are faced with questions on a regular basis. Today we will be providing answers to one of the most common questions and that is what type of funerals are there. Whilst the funeral type comes down to the individuals family below list the three basic types.
Traditional, Memorial, and Immediate disposition.
Traditional services usually include a viewing if the family wishes, casket present at the funeral service, stationary, vehicles, funeral staff, and equipment.
Memorial services assume the body and casket are not present although an urn may be. The funeral service itself is conducted similarly to that of the traditional service.
Immediate disposition usually has no funeral service. The deceased is either buried or cremated as soon as possible following the death with loved ones left to create their own service of remembrance. Although these are the three basic types of services, individual needs and requests can usually be incorporated into the service to make it a truly personal experience.
