This happens every Wed! Community is important to me, so I am flinging the doors to Simply Healing, natural health clinic and dispensary, wide open to offer free acute care over the counter. At the moment it will just be Wednesday 8.30am – 1pm while I gauge what is needed.
It works like this:
🌿 Come in and fill in a form
🌿 Have a quick chat with me at the counter
🌿 I’ll devise a plan for you and recommend products
🌿 You pay for the products
🩷 Benefits:
🥰 You get the benefit of advice from a DEGREE QUALIFIED Naturopath.
🥰 It helps address little niggling things you don’t really want an appointment for
🥰 It helps prevent a little cough going to the chest

I think I am just showing my age😂. In all seriousness eating on the run is NOT doing our digestive system any favours which means we arent gettijng the nutrients we need from our food.
Find a nice place to sit down and eat- no phones, no screens just good company even if it's just your own!

IS THE "WITCHING HOUR" ACTUALLY A METABOLIC CRASH?
We all know the time: 5:00 PM. The kids are cranky, the house is chaotic, and your patience is wearing thin. We call it the "witching hour," but have you ever considered that it might be metabolic exhaustion?
If you’re running on crusts, leftover school lunch, and caffeine, your blood sugar is on a rollercoaster. By the time 5:00 PM hits, your brain is starved of fuel, your cortisol is spiked, and you simply don’t have the biological resources left to stay calm.
You aren’t failing at motherhood. Your body is just screaming for better fuel.

Bloating is a really common issue and often a red flag that your digestive capacity is struggling. There are 3 big things that will decrease digestive capacity- age, stress and hormonal changes ie perimenopause.
A super simple way to improve your digestive capacity is to sit down to eat and before you take that first bite just breathe! Allow your nervous system some grace before asking it to switch gears.
In a heightened nervous system state our body diverts energy to immediate survival. But in rest and digest aka parasympathetic nervous system it focuses on digesting our food.
Stop eating on the run. Sit down, put the screens down, take a few breaths and enjoy that meal knowing you will get more nutrition out of it because you are digesting better. Your nervous system will thank you!
