This happens every Wed! Community is important to me, so I am flinging the doors to Simply Healing, natural health clinic and dispensary, wide open to offer free acute care over the counter. At the moment it will just be Wednesday 8.30am – 1pm while I gauge what is needed.
It works like this:
🌿 Come in and fill in a form
🌿 Have a quick chat with me at the counter
🌿 I’ll devise a plan for you and recommend products
🌿 You pay for the products
🩷 Benefits:
🥰 You get the benefit of advice from a DEGREE QUALIFIED Naturopath.
🥰 It helps address little niggling things you don’t really want an appointment for
🥰 It helps prevent a little cough going to the chest

Stress or hormones? We are so used to carrying the whole mental load as women that we forget it will have a physiological effect. The body is hard wired for survival with reproduction an optional extra. It will always prioritise survival over reproduction.
The big trick here is to recognise that we are experiencing stress. Once you've acknowledged that we can formulate a plan to address your stress, hormones and general better health.

Why "fixing your hormones" isn’t working.
Ever feel like you’re doing all the right things, but the bloating, mood swings, and erratic cycles just won’t budge?
As a Naturopath, I see this daily. We want a tangible solution to a tangible problem. But if we only treat the symptom and not the cause, the cycle never ends.

1. The Survival Switch: Constant stress (even the "quiet" kind) tells your brain you aren't safe.
2. The Progesterone Theft: Your body prioritises making Cortisol (survival) over Progesterone (calm/reproduction).
3. The Oestrogen Snowball: Without enough progesterone to balance it, oestrogen takes the lead. Hello PMS, heavy cycles, and anxiety.
4. The Detox Stall: Stress slows your gut and liver, meaning you can’t "clear out" the excess hormones.

Who doesn't love a hero? They sweep in, save the day, serve justice and.....behind them leave some kind of destruction or damage🤔.
🦸‍♀️We need hero's. I am certainly NOT saying we don't but we do need to question if we want to be the victim, to be saved in this way or if we have other options that are more proactive, less damaging and keep us in control rather than giving our power away to the hero.
🦸‍♀️If we do need the hero medication then the question is what can we do to mitigate the damage? What can we do while we have the hero to make their job easier, more effective and support the process rather than waiting to see what's left.
💞This is not an either/or situation. You can use hero medications like GLP1 agonised, SSRIS, blood pressure meds etc etc AND support your mind and body with natural methods.
🌟The other option is to recognise the path you are on and change it BEFORE you need a hero. Be your own hero if you can. Reach out for help. Get the support and know whatever you chose there is support through it.
