Today, we pause to celebrate the incredible people who make Warramunda Village a place of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. 💛💚

From our nurses and personal care workers to our cooks, cleaners, lifestyle staff, and admin team — every role matters, and every team member makes a difference.

This year’s national theme, “Thanks for Caring”, says it all. And here at Warramunda, we’re saying thanks with cupcakes, balloons, and big smiles all round!

🏉🔥 Footy Fever at Warramunda! 🔥🏉

With only three rounds to go before the AFL finals, the competition is heating up on our footy tipping leaderboard!

This week, we had a helping hand from Harley and Jordan from Kyabram P-12 College, who did a fantastic job collecting Round 22 tips from our residents.

Thanks for the support, boys — the excitement is building as we head towards the finals! 🏆

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family moments 💛

There’s nothing quite like the joy of a family visit — and we’ve had some beautiful reunions recently.

🌸 Resident Jean Taylor was delighted to see her son Tony and his wife Julie, who made the trip all the way from Maryborough, Queensland.

🌼 Resident John McInnes spent time with his lovely granddaughters Mikaela and Kahlia.

🌺 Resident Rita Norman was visited by her granddaughter Natasha and daughter-in-law Christine, who came from Bendigo.

🐾 And Bev Denson shared smiles with her family — son Gary, daughter-in-law Keri, and their adorable dog Guinness.

Warramunda is always proud to be a place where family connections continue to bloom. 💐

Resident Ron Bruns was all smiles last week with a heartwarming visit from his beloved wife Betty — and their 17-year-old furry friend, Billy!

Moments like these remind us just how special family (and pets!) truly are. 🐶❤️

🧡 A remarkable reunion 🧡

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming author and speaker Rob Hunter, who shared his incredible story of survival and strength following the infamous Wooreen school kidnapping.

It was a powerful and moving visit — made even more special by the connections in the room. Resident Shirley Mitchell (pictured) was Rob’s Grade 2 teacher — back when she was known as Miss Muntz! The joy of their reunion was truly heartwarming.

Resident Isobel Attwood also shared a deep personal connection, having grown up in Wooreen. Two of her cousins' children were among the kidnapped students, and her family generously donated the land the Wooreen school was built on. Rob and Isobel spent time after the talk reflecting on these shared memories.

Thank you, Rob, for your resilience, generosity, and message of healing after hurt.

Old mates & morning cuppas ☕🎳🃏

It was a special morning of reunions and good company at Warramunda Village last Friday!

📸 Resident Stan Coldwell was delighted to receive a visit from two of his old bowling buddies, Joe Chant and Alan Dennis from the Merrigum Bowling Club. A wonderful surprise that brought back plenty of great memories and big smiles.

🃏 Meanwhile at the Warramunda Men’s Shed, Unit residents Peter, Les and Ron shared a relaxed game of cards and a cuppa with Warramunda resident Ron Bruns. A simple joy, shared among mates.

It’s these everyday connections that make life at Warramunda so special 💛

Family, friends & furry visitors 💛🐾

Warramunda Village was full of smiles (and wagging tails!) last week with some beautiful family catch-ups.

📸 Resident Robin Mulcahy enjoyed a fun-filled visit with his grandsons Braxton, Wyatt and Jax, along with their friend Hunter — a lively bunch that brought plenty of joy to Robin’s day!

🐶 Resident David Seaton was also visited by his wife Patricia, granddaughter Summer, and their adorable dog Snoopy — a charming Kerry Blue Terrier who made himself right at home.

We love seeing these special moments of connection and laughter shared with the people (and pets!) who matter most. 💕

Family visits fill our hearts 💛

It’s been a week of special reunions and milestone moments here at Warramunda Village!

📸 Didi Kop was all smiles as she welcomed her two daughters — Lil from Bribie Island and Caroline from Sunrise Beach near Noosa — who made the journey from Queensland to spend time with their mum.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Des and Joyce Mulcahy shared a truly memorable day, surrounded by six of Des’s eight siblings — including Diane, Rosemary, Pauline, Noel, and Doreen — for a wonderful family gathering. Their daughter-in-law Vona, son Wayne, niece Tracy, and more joined the celebration.

🎉 And to top it all off, Joyce celebrated her 90th birthday on July 6 — a beautiful milestone shared with loved ones.

Moments like these remind us how important connection, family and community truly are. 💐
