Mind Management and Counselling

Mind Management and Counselling Adrian Spear offers help with anger, stress, anxiety and depression, with over 20 years’ experience in counselling coaching and matrix therapies.

Face to face and online sessions available for individuals and couples. Adrian has studied the mind's influence on the body, relationships, and life for 20 years. He has created programs to help clients improve calmness, resilience, relationships, performance, and happiness. Adrian has always been fascinated by the mind's workings and how it influences success or despair. He started attending 10-day Vipassana meditation retreats to explore further. Now, he meditates daily, studies human behaviour extensively, and attends a 10-day retreat annually. Adrian has a thirst for psychology, mindfulness, relaxation, meditation techniques, emotion control, neuroscience, quantum physics, and shamanistic healing. Adrian obtained his Diploma in Counselling (CHC51015). Noticing more clients with anger issues, he quickly helped them manage their stress. Adrian then specialized in anger and stress management. Adrian recognized society's struggles with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. He has adapted his business to help more people cope with these pressures. Why do you have the anger?

For 2026, focus on a clear goal—health, relationships, or career—and make it SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).

• Break your goal into simple daily habits.
• Track progress in a journal.
• Treat setbacks as chances to grow.
• Build accountability with others.
• Be consistent; perfection isn't required.

Start small and stay committed for real results.
What's your top goal?

Depression in men often shows as fatigue, sleep or appetite changes, pain, anger, risk-taking, or heavy drinking rather than visible sadness. Emotional signs like irritability, withdrawal, or criticism are frequently overlooked, while overworking, substance use, or risky behaviour may be seen as recklessness.

Depression affects about one in eight Australian men, but it often doesn't match typical "sad" stereotypes.

It is difficult to gain complete control of your emotions in all situations. But by using Metacognition we are able to improve it. Metacognition is often described as “thinking about your thinking”. This means becoming aware of the thoughts you are having at a moment to moment basis.
Since your feelings stem from your thoughts then you can control your feeling too.
